The following fictitious story is my nightmare,
‘At
eight a.m. government officials showed up at my door. They grabbed three of my children and said
they will be taking them for seven hours to a building they have designed to
train them in the way and with the information they have chosen by the
individuals they have employed. They will be required to do certain work in a
certain amount of time and a report will be sent to me so I may see their short
comings according to their chosen scale. They will be separated according to
age. They will not stay together as siblings. They will only be allowed to eat,
drink, and play at designated times set by the chosen people. After the seven hours
they will be returned to me with extra work that must be completed before 8:00 am
the next morning when they shall return to the same regime five days a week nine
months a year for thirteen years.
As they
took my three children out the door I reached for them to pull them back I held
on tight as they dragged me behind I screamed at them I begged them not to take
my children from me. But they persisted. I fell on my face in the middle of our
driveway and as I sat in a puddle of my own tears I watched as they drove away
with my children. As I examined my bloody knees and the gravel stuck to my arms
I realized that for this nightmare to come true, all I would have to do is “call
the bus”. ‘
How can what many people willing and gladly do every day, be my nightmare? I believe it is because
we don’t know any different. It is the way our parents did it and the way
everyone else around us does it. So we just follow the herd. We must not know any better. Well it’s too
late now, I am about to tell you, there are others options and I ask you to
truly consider what the current school system is doing to our families.
Though it appears I am attacking the current school system
as a whole, I am really only grinding away at its foundation, so I guess
eventually this will cause the whole system to come crumbling down. Okay, maybe I am attacking the school system,
but I have to. Its foundation was bad,
and yet, they continued to build on it! The foundation of the school system is
to separate children from their parents. This is the first step that must
happen for their system to work. By the age of five you must put your child’s
essentials in a bag, put it on their back, put them on a bus, and send them
away. Have you ever asked yourself, ”why
is this what is best for my child?” It is not. Our generation and the
generation before us have been fooled and now our families are at stake. Our
current world is full of multiple generations of broken, separated, blended, single,
abusive, or absent families. Whatever title you give it, it all starts with two
people who became a family and didn’t stay that way.
No matter how educated you are, your children can learn
everything they want and need to know by being given the freedom to do so, in
the time and way that works for them. They have interests and passions. Let them pursue
them. They are naturally curious. When
they ask “why”, help them find the answer and you will see that they will not
give up until they are truly satisfied. With this new revelation, I have seen
my children in a new light and even my spouse.
We pursue our passions at our pace and in our own way, together as a
family. We learn from our children as they learn from us just by living. We are
living and learning together and that never ends. Families were designed to
stay together. It takes a man and a woman to make a child and that is a family.
It is really very basic.
Therefore, I am pleading with you. You do not have to share
custody of your children with the school system. Bring it back to the basics!
If it separates your families, don’t do it! If it separates you from your
children, don’t do it! If it separates you from your spouse, don’t do it! It is
that simple. Yet it is a daily battle in our current world as so many hands
continue to knock at our door and they try to separate our families. Don’t let
them! My advice would be don’t even open the door. There are other options. It’s
never too late to take your children back.
